My overall GPA is a 3.0 and science is a 2.95.

This is mainly due to the fact that ive had to work a full time job while going to school, which is a 45 min drive from my house. I have a strong application explaining my academic disadvantages...

I took my DAT a few days ago, got a 19 PAT and 19AA.

I have already sent out my apps to the following schools (which mailed on 7/23... but didnt have my DAT scores so my app was put on hold)

Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BU)
New York University (NYU)
The Ohio State University (OSU)
Tufts University (TUF)
University of Alabama at Birmingham (ALA)
University of Florida (FLA)
University of Louisville (UL)
University of Maryland (MYD)
University of Minnesota (MIN)
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) (denied due to my GPA)

What other schools would you recommend? I'm not picky where the school is, i just want to get quality education which most schools are able to provide.

It would be better if you could list the breakdown of your scores...

Anyway, perhaps.... USC, Western University, Midwestern"s", UNLV, maybe Howard (if you are a minority?)

But, to be honest, you might want to raise your GPA by taking more classes or doing post-bac....

apply to more private schools like case, temple, pacific, etc

I am a Florida resident so most other schools would be out of state for me. I am not a minority or financially disadvantaged.

my DAT breakdown-

19aa
18bio
20chem
19ochem
19perceptual
16QR (OUCH!)
21reading
19TS

Unless you can raise your GPA to 3.4 -3.5 , you should re do your DAT.

With your current GPA, you have to have a dat of minimum 21 +.

Best of Luck

Have you checked out this thread? http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=635046 It will provide you with some insights on where you can apply with those stats.

Plugging in your statistics to the calculated GPA/DAT formula found in the middle of the thread, you came out with about a 10.5. Look on this chart here, scroll down to the bottom to see what schools you are competitive for and you will get a really good idea about where you stand.
