I'm interested in what people have to say here. I have identical stats minus the research and gap in schooling. I'm from Michigan too.

Apply to dental schools man.

Hey, I am from Michigan as well and am applying this cycle.

I would say first off where you apply depends more on what you want from the school (i.e. if you want to specialize apply to Penn or maybe Columbia since they have a greater number of students going into specialities) in terms of location, cost (public vs. private). Being from the Midwest I'm planning on applying to any dental school close by (Michigan, UDM, IU, Case Western, Marquette, Creighton, Iowa, Midwestern-IL, etc.). However, if you hate the cold / do not see yourself living in Michigan the rest of your life and just want to get away, I would consider dental schools on the West Coast or even South.

Same. I looked through the ADEA dental school guide book, and looked for schools that had ~40% OOS students, and made sure that the OOS weren't from nearby states.

I think my list will be similar to yours, although I had places like MS AT Still and LECOM.
