Summer class grades/transcript update

I read on AMCAS that they will not accept updated grades/transcripts. Is this correct? I took 2 summer classes that are over already (I know...short classes 🙂 ) Do I need to ask my school to mail my updated transcript to the 24 schools I applied to??? Any suggestions?

AMCAS will not update your grades once your app has been submitted. If you want their precise wording, look under "HELP" after you log-in to your account. I am sending in my updated transcripts after the summer session is complete. My school charges $5/transcript, so my advisor told me to send in the unofficial student transcript to the schools if I can't spare the cost.

I didn't know about this, it looks like a problem now...

I'm taking the general physics labs over this quarter (the last 2 quarters; b and c) because I didn't do so over the school year. What's an unofficial transcript? is that just printing the grades over the internet and then mailing it in to each school?

An unofficial transcript is one that you can access via your school's student info website and print out yourself. No special registrar's seal or any other security measure to prevent fraud.
