hi guys

for those that are in, have done, and are familar with the med school application....if i submit my amcas app this june and i take summer classes afterward, does anyone know if my summer classes grades will be added on to my over gpa? can anyone give me some info. thanks

You cannot make any changes to the course work listed in your AMCAS application after it has been verified.

From the 2006 AMCAS handbook:

"AMCAS will not change corrections based on information that becomes available after you submit your application. This includes final grades for current/future courses and grade changes submitted to your registrar."

Plus, I doubt any summer course work will seriously affect your GPA one way or another. Better to just submit early.

What classes are you going to take? If you've never done summer school before, it can be rather rigorous. For instance, taking O-Chem and Physics would be doable, but time consuming. Not much time on the golf course.

As for the AMCAS app -- go ahead with it. negative is right, your GPA won't change much.
