Summer Course 2015?

So I am currently taking my Physics II course this summer at a technical college. The end date for the class is August 4th and my ED application to Duke is due the 15th. Should I still try to get that transcript send to PTCAS when the grade is processed? or wait until after and only send it for the normal decision period, if I don't get accepted for ED?

I'm taking a course this summer too and would really like it to show up on my ED application. I will have the grade by the Aug 8th. I think I am almost positive I am going to get an A so I think I am going to put it in PTCAS and designate it and then send the transcript the moment I am able.

I have the same question, although I'm applying for schools with rolling admissions and not early decision. My summer class just finished on Thursday and I was wondering whether I should submit my app now or wait for the official grade to be posted on my transcript before submitting my app. Anybody have input on this?

If you currently enrolled in summer courses, consider waiting until your summer 2015 grades are posted before you submit your final PTCAS application. After you e-submit your application as either a regular or Early Decision candidate, you cannot update your transcripts or the Coursework section again until the "Academic Update" opens in December.

If you are applying as an Early Decision candidate, be sure all of your transcripts through at least the spring 2015 term arrive at PTCAS by August 17. If not, you will automatically be moved to "regular" status.

The grade should be posted quickly (many schools like them in within a week). Ask your teacher on this one and let him/her know you are waiting for the grade. My summer class teachers always got theirs in early anyway. Then check your online academic record every single day. You can hit send on the PTCAS application as soon as you see the grade as official in your online record. Then call and get a transcript sent quickly.

I was advised to send the transcript without the summer grade. If you wait until after the grade is posted, you'll be cutting it close to meeting the deadline.

^^If you send the transcript without the summer grade, the grade will not count! (at least not until December with academic update....and many schools make interview decisions before then. So essentially, the class didn't matter to admissions other than ultimately completing the sequence. Some students really need the last grade, especially if it's a retake class).
