Yes to medical schools, Kind of no to GPA.
What you can do is fill in an 'estimated' course grade when filling out your AMCAS and then submit the AMCAS early (June & July) before finishing or even taking your classes, bumping you up on the list to be verified.
After your done with your classes have your transcripts sent to AMCAS. If the grade on the transcript isn't the same as what on the AMCAS will change it to what it actually is (hey, what do you think we pay them for).
Yeah, it's kinda shady but oh well. Basically your just being 'productive' during the lag time between submission and verification. Peace.
