Do any of you guys know if there is a school that offers distance education for biology, anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, science courses during summer? Anywhere anyone?...
I've hunted and found no online summer classes. I did find A&P online, but only in the fall/spring terms at St. Pete College in Seminole. If anyone knows of any others, I would love to hear about it.
If you are in Florida, or dont mind paying out of state fees, I would suggest lookifng at http://www.distancelearn.org This site gives a good listing of what Florida colleges and universities are offering this summer. It breaks down the list by college, subject, and format (online, video, etc). It is a really good site that I have used for a majority of my pre-pharm classes. Most pharm school will accept these credits, but be carefully about taking some of the classes offered at private or colleges..they are not always transferrable. There are other websites out there that will pull up a catalog of online college course, do a google search and search them out.
University of Minnesota offers a Distance Learning Class in Biochemistry. I am currently taking it now. It requires a lot of work, but it's not too bad. He posts practice tests online so you can look at it...it's closed for the summer but registration will open back up I think in July for the Fall and you can take it in the summer if you need to and get it out of the way before the Fall.
Florida Community College in Jacksonville, FL (FCCJ) offers Biology and A&P online. They were offered this summer but the classes started in May.
You can copy and paste the following url and it will take you to those classes or the FCCJ website is fccj.edu for more info.
Take a look at www.cvc.edu (california virtual classes). This shows you a list of online classes that are available in california (UC/CSU/Comunity College). UC Berkeley has a lot of classes that are continuous enrolling (you just have to complete within a year). Some of my friends were able to finish calculus and biochemistry to get into grad school... Hope this works 😉
Here is another site that you might want to try : http://www.electroniccampus.org/ The site will list online/distance learning courses from colleges and universities in the Southeast US.
