Summer Grade Question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yes, you will have to do an academic update, especially since chemistry is a prereq and they'll need to know that you've taken and completed it.

Don't fret about a B--your GPA is excellent! (I too am a grade perfectionist--we should start an anonymous group 😉)

Yes, you will have to update it. It does state in PTCAS that applicants must indicate all the institutions attended. But I agree with southernswimmer, your GPA is excellent! BTW, you didn't want to be a Logger and apply into UPS? From the schools that you are applying into sounds like your from the Pacific Northwest! I'm from Seattle! Good luck in the application process!

PTCAS will give you a chance to update your grades, if you have classes that are still in progress. But i'm unsure about updating after admissions (by that do you mean results, i.e. accepted or denied). I graduated from UPS for my undergrad. They did have some undisclosed financial help for those who needed it. That was how I was able to pay for my BA. They have scholarships from past alums that donate to the school specifically for students who either qualify for financial help, excellent GPA, majors, or even diversity. Also, I believe that the APTA website can show you some sources for scholarships for PT school.

I think to a get a unambiguous answer, I would advise you to call PTCAS. They are helpful, I've called then numerous times about my concerns.

If you e-submit your PTCAS application before your summer or fall 2014 grades are available, you must enter your updated courses online during the Academic Update (AU) and arrange for your updated transcript to be sent to PTCAS as soon as it is available.

December 12, 2014 – The Academic Update opens. You cannot make edits to your coursework section until the Academic Update window is open to you.

As Kurt said above, you will need to update your grades in December, during the official academic update period. Some schools make interview invites before then, and others don't. You might want to look at the timeline for the programs you applied to in order to see if they will be making decisions before December or not.
