I took a class during summer that went from May 28th to July 20th.

What's the difference between Summer I and Summer II?
Would this class be Summer I?

Depends on what school you go to. I go to waterloo and we only go by fall/winter/spring terms...but my friends at Mac go by fall/winter/summer I & II. It should say in your transcript, well mine does at least.

It says in the directions. Summer I are classes that you took over the summer and are complete. Summer II are classes that you are taking this summer and are not yet completed

I didn't read this in the instructions...

What? Link?

Some schools run 2 summer sessions of 6 weeks. (End of may to first week of July, and then early July to mid August.) This allows individuals to take year sequences in the 12 weeks of summer courses. Some classes may stretch over the entire summer.

Yeah, when I read your post, I felt that I should be more careful in reading the instructions, because I don't recall reading about what you are saying.

can anyone else confirm this? I can't find it in the instructions

Yea I was also confused by this. At my school we have Summer A (first half of summer), Summer B (second half), and Summer C (runs all the the way through the summer).

For my Summer A Organic I class I put Summer I and for my Organic II class in Summer B I put Summer II. I also took a Summer C class, and since they only have I and II I just put Summer I. I hope this is okay.

hey, i looked it up on the 2010 aadsas general instruction booklet and this is what it says:

*A note about Summer I and Summer II:
Many individuals apply through AADSAS during the summer months, and are also taking courses that conclude at various times throughout the summer. Applicants are encouraged to provide information about completed summer courses that have already been posted to your transcript in the Summer I term and designate any summer courses that have not been completed by the application submission data as "Summer II" in the "Planned/In Progress" section.

so my next question would be if we took classes from the 1st and 2nd session, do we clump them all together or still separate them into different sections but both stating summer I?

why would they have the option of "in progress" in summer I if it is for completed courses only????

For summer classes, I just put them as Summer I year b/c that is how it appeared on my transcript as 1 big summer semester and there was no differentiation made between the individual summer sessions.
