Summer internships/options?

So l i have shadowed a lot of doctors and have volunteered in an ER. I just want to do something else. Maybe some research, or other options.

I am an econ major though I am undeclared right now likely chemistry minor. I am a sophomore and I think it is pretty hard for me to get into amgen scholors program as I have no prior research experience. 3.4ish gpa average. I want to know what are some simple ways I can get into research options or what other things should I do?

what are my summer options. I dn't want to volunteer in the ER/ hospital anymore. I have 300+ hrs maybe more right now.

Talk to one of your lab professors or any of your lab professors and ask them if they welcome undergraduate research 🙂

so the thing is at my school juniors get priority in lab research so it is quite difficult to get it as a sophomore.
