Hello. In order to take advantage of a research opportunity and teaching assistant job in the fall, I must take physics I at another college (a 4-year accredited university) this summer that is not the one I am a full-time student at. I will take physics II at my college later. I was wondering if this would look bad on my application or if this would negatively impact my chances of being accepted into medical school? Thank you!

I have scheduled to take Physics I and II during the summer session as well. From what I gathered as long as its apart of your accredited university (or other 4 year institute), it shouldn't make or your break your application. MCAT scores, GPA, sciGPA, LORs, ECs, Clinical/Volunteer experience play a much bigger role.

Just do well in the course, good luck on your journey.

This will "look" fine, especially since the school is a 4 year accredited college. You just want to make sure that the schools cover the same topics in Physics I at both schools. You do not want to do electricity and magnetism twice, while missing out on other important topics (I am so far out of my post-bacc, I can't remember the rest of what I was taught in physics). As far as I know, some topics covered in Physics I at school A might be covered in Physics II at another school and vice versa.

I agree. Be sure to have enough time to study/digest physics as it goes by fast in the summer.
