Use all the free resources available to you from SDN: articles, guides, expert advising, forums discussions, and school research.
You could go to the website of each specialty's society, e.g. American Association of Thoracic Surgeons (unfortunately, the AATS deadline was 1/15), or a large organization, e.g. American Heart Association, and poke around. They may have scholarships available.
