I have to take summer school to fulfill the requirements for my university and I'm trying to decide if I should take a science course like Bioloy II of Organic Chem to get ahead but are these classes a lot harder during the summer than during the fall or spring? I don't know what I should do.

It really depends on the school you go to. At my school, science courses are just like regular semester courses crammed into 8 weeks so it's definitely harder. At other schools, it's almost like a remedial course. You should ask students, who have already taken those summer classes, what they're like. 🙂

it's not exactly harder because you're not taking other courses at the same time, allowing you to focus on one subject. I took two semesters of biology in 8 weeks, and we had lecture 9AM~12AM 4 days a week and lab 4 days a week as well. It is alot of work, but once you get into a routine, it really isn't that bad.

it depends on what else your gonna be doin at the time. I took anatomy and physiology both in the same summer, but i did this and worked 35 hrs a week and studied for the dat among other things. IT was hell. Packing all human anatomy and then all of human physio in 6 weeks isnt fun. It would be doable if your motivated and especially if you dont plan on working.

Toughin up!!! j/k... I go to a school on the block system, 1 class at a time for 3 and a half weeks.... 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and if its a science class, 1-3 hours of lab every afternoon as well. Its not that bad... try taking biochemistry in 3 and a half weeks... that was hell, i was proud of my C 😱 So this summer when i take physics at the local community college, it will seem like heaven taking it over 8 weeks...
