Is taking a required science class (physics) over the summer a disadvantage when applying to dental school, even if I take two science classes a semester the rest of my undergraduate time?

as long as you aren't taking the course at a community college, you are all good

Why would it be any different? The number of lecture hours is the same regardless of whether taken in summer or during regular semesters.
