Hello all,

& thank you for reading. currently my GPA is 3.3 and I planned on taking A&P II, Chem II, and Bio II this summer which is 10 weeks, but I'm now thinking like Okay, maybe I'm straight crazy and I should not do it. I still have time to drop one, but should I just have no life and study each second of my day. (I work online @ home so going out the house to work will not affect me) Will Pharm schools look down on this? Do you all think I should just drop one class?

Do you HAVE to take all of these at once? Sure you COULD do it, but depending on your study needs you will have no life or be very overwhelmed (and probably won't do as well as you wanted).
Personally, I would drop A&P and take it later if I could, but that's just me. If you can do it, more power to you.

I think that is a lot for one summer. You have to remember that since you are taking these courses in the summer they are going to be accelerated courses. You're learning information that is supposed to be learned in a semester as oppose to two months. Plus, you have to remember that you are taking these courses to do well on the PCAT.

I agree with Kelp103. I would drop A & P and take it in the fall. Out of all three, A & P is more detailed and more time consuming. Is there a reason why you are wanting to take 3 classes in the summer?

Yes, so I could graduate sooner and apply to pharm school is the reason why. But I agree, its just too much right now. I think I will drop Bio II. I actually enjoy A&P class much better! Thanks guys

Okay, realistically, you and I know that this is very possible. If you really tried, this isn't that tough. If you're planning on relaxing, going on vacation, etc, then maybe it's not a good idea, but these courses aren't really that difficult.

I would drop A&P II. It requires the most study (lots of pure memorization for lab) and it probably the easiest to pick up at a later time since it's usually offered every semester for nursing students.

That being said, you could easily take all 3 classes and do fine.

if you want it enough you can do it!

If you have the capability to do it and this might result in you getting accepted to pharm school a year early (every year counts with how the job market is looking) then I would definitely do it. In the long run entering the job market a year early is worth it to have one stressful summer.
