Has anyone ever studied abroad? I've heard of different opportunities- India, South Africa for example. I'm curious for any feedback anyone might have about their experience.

I studied in Australia last summer at the University of Queensland, both at the St. Lucia and Gatton campuses, it was a great experience. I did an overview of Australian agriculture, Veterinary Medicine/Animal Studies, and Australian history/culture. If it's financially feasible, I would recommend study abroad. This was a program setup through my university's Study Abroad Office and a faculty advisor in my department lead the trip.

i've studied abroad in Belize through Global Learning Semesters. I spent 4 weeks out there (2 weeks large animal, 2 weeks exotic) and it was definitely an awesome experience. It is rather expensive tho, so consider the costs before studying abroad, but i highly reccomend it if you can afford it (even if you have to take out a small loan to help out a little.

Woo hoo UQ! *high five* Ok I don't really have much to add to this thread, I've never studied abroad, however everyone that I know who has studied abroad has always recommended it as the best thing ever!
