Hi SDN Dermatology,
SUNY Downstate Dermatology is currently interviewing for an open position in the Pediatric Dermatology Research Fellowship. You will be working directly with the Program Director of Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatologist, Dr. Sharon Glick, and the head of the Clinical Trials Unit, Dr. Jeannette Jakus. Below are some details of the fellowship:
- You will be paid as a PGY-II
- This is a one-year position, with the option to continue as fellow for an additional year
- You need to have completed or is currently completing your preliminary intern year. Having your license is a plus.
- We have an excellent rate of matching our fellows into dermatology.
- You will be seeing and presenting patients in pediatric dermatology clinic 3 days a week. There is the option to help out in adult dermatology clinic as you wish and as schedule permits. You will learn A LOT as a fellow.
- You will be managing clinical trials for both pediatric and adult patients.
- You will see all kinds of patients in clinic, as we rotate at several sites in Brooklyn. You will manage/treat patients with rare genodermatoses, which is a treat.
- You will have the opportunity to present in conferences and publish papers.
