SUNY OAT scores

The site says I need 340 in all scores. However I only scored 330 in physics, and 320 in QR, but I have 390 TS and 370 AA. Is their rule on 340 in all subjects absolute, or I shouldn't even bother applying, since it's semi-late in the cycle?

(There's a thread made in 2006 about getting in with less than ideal scores but that was so long ago so I'm looking for more recent answers.)

Also, if I apply now without applying SUNY, can I later designate the scores after I e-submit?

I got sub 340 on almost all my scores and still got an interview.. I'm not sure what site you're referring to, but I bet it's from before the scale shifted.

I got a 300 on my RC and QR with a TS of 360 and AA of 340. The head of admission told me they like me to apply first and re-schedule for retake. That was when i said bye to SUNY. 360 is more than good and there is no way I am gona go fry my brain again for 5 hours just to get 20 points higher. Ps, he told me *320* was good enough. Considering they usually dont change their policies in 40 days, I would say you will get in. because 1- your TT and AA are super high and you do have above 320. PPs.
And i never knew their min required score is 340. Thats rediculous. Average acceptance based on OAT scores for 85% of optom schools is around 330-340. :-O

Thanks both of you for answering my question! 😀 I guess I'll try applying and see where that takes me. and @ Moptometry 360 is good... I agree that it's ridiculous to have to retake, i wouldn't have done it if I was in that position. Test isn't too hard but the preparation is, not worth the brain fry!

320 is the minimum for SUNY. 340 is the minimum for all sections if you want to apply early decision. if applying rolling, and if you have one or two sections that are a little below 320, it's OK. straight from dr. johnston's mouth.
