Hi i was thinking of applyin to the SUNY optometry school. I have a 3.2 and i was worried that i might not get in. I really wanna stay in the city but dont mind leaving as long as i have a close proximity to it. WHat OAT score woudl i need and how hard is it to get into the SUNY? thanks

Once I submitted my application in, they emailed me right back asking if I would retake the OATs. They wanted all the scores to be at least above 320. I had a AA 300 and a TS of 320 with a 3.9 GPA and 4.0 in Biology. Hope this helps. I ended up not taking the OATs again b/c I got accepted into PCO which was my frist choice. Good luck!

SUNY isn't hard to get in as long as you have presentable scores and GPA and an extensive knowledge and experience with optometry. You should apply there nonetheless.

i have a 3.34 with ts 360 and aa 340 and i have an interview next weekend. iono if that helps but u should always shoot for as high of an oat score as possible

My GPA was a 3.2 as well, my OAT scores were 370 aa and 370 ts. And I got accepted.

Apply and give it a shot 😀

You should do a lot of shadowing in the field. They seemed really impressed by that at my interview. Good luck!
