SUNY Upstate vs Albany

Honestly I feel like they are both very similar. They are both in upstate New York, they are both P/F, their match lists are pretty similar and the cost ends up being around the same since I am not a NY resident.
Are there things about these programs that stuck out to other people?
Why would you choose one over the other if money wasn't an issue.

So, I dont have answers for you but other questions you can research to help with your decision,

When were the facilities last updated/built?
Do they still do cadaver dissections or are they digital?
How do the students feel supported by the administration?
How do the faculty feel supported by the administration?

I feel the answers to these can have a drastic impact on graduate education.
 
I interviewed at Upstate a couple years ago and their medical school is a huge tower. They also have a medical center associated with their campus which is also really good, I would guess they have some in-house residencies which is good because it’s easier to network with the programs since you go to the school it’s affiliated with. Upstate has some good matches, and I don’t know much about Albany or it’s affiliations. I think there’s a chance you could qualify for NY tuition after like a year of living there but I’m not so sure.
