Who has heard anything and who contacted you. I am pretty nervous about not having heard anything yet 🙁

I heard from them a couple months ago...they sent a letter saying my application was on hold and would be re-reviewed. I called them yesterday as to when the re-reviewing will take place...I was told around December. If you want, you can call them up and check on the status. Upstate is strangely one of the fastest, efficient and nicest admissions offices.

I called the admissions office. They told me that Jennifer Welch is the one who calls up accepted students and the rest of the decisions get sent out by regular mail.

Also, she's not in today and therefore students won't be called until monday.

I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat. But I'm trying not to get too worried about it because if I've learned anything about this process it's that sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason to how these schools do things. Just because you haven't gotten a phone call today doesn't mean you won't get one at all. Chin up!

I had my phone off and missed a call from Ms. Welch. She gave me a 1-800 number to call her back on moday. I tried calling the number today but she is not around. Her voice sounded very neutral so i'm not reading too much into it, but I am keeping my fingers crossed 🙂

BGGA - I can only assume that you're in if she called you today. She's off today, so anything work related for her has to be good news. FWIW, she called me around 10 or 10:30...

She called me about that time too! I was at another interview that was the only reason that my phone was off and I could have kicked myself when I found out I missed the call. From what you said I'm optimistic but I don't want to get my bubble burst on Monday so I'm keeping my all my emotions low key. Wish me luck on Monday. I will call her first thing. Well CONGRATULATION, this must be a huge load off 😀

Jennifer only calls with good news. I'm not sure if she's called everyone that was accepted already, but I can tell you that if she left you a message you've been accepted. Congrats, and maybe I'll see you next year.

as to what others have posted about upstate: it is easily the most efficient, kind, warm, down to earth medical school in the country.

This is all very true - hence my dissappointment in not hearing anything. Oh well, I will try not to get too pessimistic before monday.

I was placed on hold post-interview apparently. I am kind of confused by it since i've never heard of anyone else getting put on hold post interview.

I think I will go ahead and send an update. I can't imagine that expressing further interest is a bad thing.
