Supervised experience to become licenced SW?

Can the supervised hours required to become a licensed clinical social worker also be considered experience when applying for a job position? ?In NY it takes 3 years to become licensed., so if the job was looking for someone with 2+ years experience, would I be an eligible candidate?

I see absolutely no reason why it wouldn't be counted. It seems pretty clear-cut that fulfilling your required supervised hours, is still work and experience gained, on your part.
