Supplemental Application Question

Ohio State's supplemental application has an optional essay prompt that says to "describe any supplemental information that would aid the admissions committee in the evaluation of your application". I'm stuck between whether or not to try to use this short essay (225 word limit) to further sell myself as an applicant or if it could potentially hurt my chances. I'm taking a gap year which is sparsely mentioned in my application, but I'm not sure if including my gap year plans would be beneficial or harmful. Thanks in advance guys 🙂

For reference, UCSF had that exact same question. I didn't add anything, and I recently got an interview invite from them for 10/13. Hope that helps.

Congrats on the interview, thats amazing. Thank you though I've been going back and forth quite a bit these last few days trying to figure out what to do
