Does anyone have any tips for writing supplemental essays that ask why you want to attend that program/what attributes of the program have influenced your decision to apply? I have a couple to write that are longer character counts (4500 and 5000), so I was planning to reference the mission statement/values and specific aspects of the program but then also give examples of things I do in my current life that relate to that. Is this what they typically look for in those kind of essays?

Thanks for any input or advice!

It sounds like you're on the right track! Relating it to things you do is also good.

My advice is typically to read the school's website and pick out things they highlight that make them unique. Don't give reasons that could apply to every PT school. For example, don't write, "I want to go to School X because I'll have the chance to do research." You'll get that at almost any PT school. Instead, if you want to do research, look up specific research the PT program does and mention that. Also tie it back into any research experience you already have.
