Ok I'm applying to schools that make you answer a ton of essay questions-- read: Western U and Washington State.

My question is, should I answer it like I'm at the interview and say what comes to mind or should I spend a lot of time on it like I did my personal statment where I had like over 5 drafts and a ton of people read over it?

I don't want to lie to myself and go back and forth addding stuff to my esssay questions and edit things to make it sound up there with the vocab because that is not normally how I talk.

do you guys treat the supp answers like you did your personal statement??

Why WOULDN'T you spend a lot of time on it? It's a part of your application. Another chance for you to show YES they should accept you. As is your personal statement. No matter how wonderful your personal statement is, if your supplemental is sloppy, you will most likely be passed over for someone who had a wonderful personal statement AND supplemental answers.
