Hello,

I was wondering if any of you current vet students found any supplies that were particularly useful for studying?

Did any of you ever use a dry erase board or know of someone who used one?

Did any of you ever use saunders' flashcards or coloring books, and if so, how helpful did you find them to be?

There was a thread somewhere, i'm not sure if i listed it above or not. but a vet student mentioned her way of studying is to use different colors of yarn or string and lay them out as if they were the veins/arteries etc. i thought that was really interesting if you are a visual learning and like hands on things

Hello,

We have several people in our class that use dry erase boards to study. UGA has several public meeting rooms on campus that have large dry erase boards and they use them to draw out concepts, diagrams, ect... Personally that wasn't for me, but it seemed very effective for them. :idea:Depends on your learning style, I suppose.

UGA encourages students to create and work from a problem list when working up patients. When students get to clinics, the dept's (ie internal med, derm, surgery, ect) use those boards during rounds to map out problem lists and discuss cases. So perhaps my classmates are ahead of the game.

I couldn't live without my digital recorder.

(dont know why the multi quote didn't work?)

I don't have one, but apparently you can go to home depot/lowe's and get "shower board" which comes in huge sheets (like 10' x 8') for approx. $10 and it is essentially a giant dry erase board. I have several classmates that diagram EVERYTHING on dry erase boards.

We had them in study rooms. Great for when working with other people.
