I don't really have the option of continuing in my career and working on my prereqs and dat so I'm just trying to figure out how to support myself for those two years (at least). Does anyone use loans for this or should I wait to get into school to use loans? I can get by for awhile on savings but wondering if there are any other good ideas for income

Good question...if you figure out a good answer please let me know lol

My husband works so I was able to quit my previous teaching career in 2012 and finish my pre-reqs. Been tight, but it is what it is. Do you have any schooling at all? If you have at least an AA or 60 credits, you can tutor. It pays pretty well usually, like 25 or so an hour. You can make a decent amount of money for working only a few hours. Otherwise, loans unfortunately 🙁

I know a lot of people who ended up changing careers and getting loans to pay for a postbacc program to get their prereqs.
