I am a 3rd year medical student from St. George's University down in Grenada. I am interested in applying to Surgery residency. Just got my Surgery rotation grade and it was a B (my school only uses A, B, C, and F). My Step I score was 214/88. Getting ready for Step 2. As far as other grades are concerned, IM- A, OB- A, Psych-A and Peds-B.

How bad is getting that B in surgery when it comes to applying for residency in surgery?

I apologize for posting this question, but I have searched this forum to see if anyone was in similar situation and what others had to say about it but didn't find anything solid. If anyone can chime in, I would greatly appreciate it.
