Has anyone started receiving gen surg interview invites yet?

way too early... it takes a few weeks for interviews to start coming in... Don't look at applicants in other fields, as they might get interviews earlier or later than GS.

Agreed - surgery programs tend to offer interviews later than many other specialties.

I have 3 so far - first came Sept 25. Some of the community programs are sending invites out.

It's super early. Check out the II thread - not many programs have sent out invites early

Sooo I shouldn't panic and start researching a new career? I only have 4 interviews so far and I have seriously been completely panicked!!!

You can check out the other thread, and see if programs that you've applied to have offered interviews. It is not uncommon for programs to send interview invites in more than wave.
