Has anyone received any interviews or rejections for surgery yet?
If so, where.

Emory,
Carolinas
Wake Forrest
Louisville
Christiana Care

I also applied to
Cincy
Northwestern
Vanderbilt
UAB
Virginia
but have not heard from them.

I applied for a categorical general surgery residency.

just curious...Are these interview invitations listed for general surgery residency? I am also among the applicants waiting for the magic electronic invitations from many programs.

It seems like general surgery is on a later time schedule than other specialties in terms of extending applicants interviews. Is this true? Do they wait until the Dean's letter comes out?

anybody familiar with Stamford Hospital in the state of CT, affiliated with Columbia University? any and all information is appreciated.

though some programs have sent out interview invites... according to posts from last year, seems like the bulk came in November, after the dean's letter went out.

Another question regarding the mysterious interview invitation...a colleague of mine mentioned that if you get an early invitation, the program is most likely more interested in you. He mentioned that programs batch the interview invitations in some locations, and the more preferred applicants get invited earlier in the "batching" process.

Anybody know any truth to this matter?

Anybody watch the Red Sox-A's excellent game, followed by an equally entertaining MNF game where the Colts pulled a win out from about the mid transverse colon?
