In our system here, we have to study medicine, surgery, gynae obs and paediatrics in final yr alongwith wards. I wanted to know how you guys study for surgery and medicine. What books dyou guys use? How do you study from them? I mean what core topics dyou focus on? Im using greenfield for surgery alongwith washington manual and mont reid for wards. For medicine, i havent decided on a book yet. Kumar and Clark's pretty decent. Im just starting final year!

Typically in the US, medicine and surgery are done in the Clinical years/Clinical Rotations. You can check out this thread: Good rotation resources or keep reading the posts in this forum.
