Surgery Prelim Invites

Anyone applying into radiology, anesthesia, etc getting surgery prelim invites yet, specifically in the northeast?

I have heard only from a few: Mt Sinai (NYC), Einstein-Beth Israel (NYC), St Elizabeth's (Boston)

Do surgery prelim applicants usually get late invites? Or invites by phone?

Feedback from current/past applicants would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I know a surgery university prog out West that is only just starting to review applications for prelim. They just sent out categorical and according to the PC, are just starting to review for prelims. So hold on tight!

One in the midwest area said they'd be doing theirs by phone.

Most programs I am familiar with focus primarily on Categorical positions.

Some may not even interview Prelims in person and a phone interview/Skype may suffice.

But yes, waiting longer for Prelim interview notices is typical IMHO.
