I'm just wondering can anyone help. I'm doing a small animal surgery presentation and it can be on anything at all once it's surgery related. As a student in your final year, what would you be interested in hearing about? I was going to go along the lines of hip dysplasia but was curious to see what others would be interested in hearing about. Thanks!

I think you're better off picking something you are interested in. The best presentations tend to be the ones the speaker is enthusiastic about.

Thanks Bill. I know that's true-I am interested in the hip dysplasia presentation but was thinking that others might be like  during it!

I would be interested most in hearing about surgical complications and post-surgery management problems and how to deal with them. Most surgical procedures are pretty well written out, but what scares people (especially new vets) is "what do I do if something goes wrong, either during or after?"

Make it about a procedure I might actually do in my lifetime!!! Just had my surgery exams and there was so many questions regarding technical details of procedures I'd been told were "referral only" that it made me so angry!!! And 1 question on OVH!!!

Great ideas. I like the idea of the complications. And I know exactly what you're talking about sunshine when they ask things like that! My school does the same!
