For the purpose of the surgery shelf, was Surgery Pretest or Appleton & Lange better?

definitely PreTest. A+L had a lot of extraneous material which was neither relevant for the shelf or day-to-day pimping (not to mention the huge number of blatant typos and the answers/explanations not being long enough).
