Hi everyone, I hope all are doing well.

I am an IMG applying for PGY-1 surgery. I was wondering if someone can put a list of IMG friendly programs for surgery. It would be nice and generous 🙂

Some I know of:

Robert Packer in Sayre, PA
St. Francis in Trenton, NJ
Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, PA
Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, CA
St. Barnabas in Livingston NJ
York Hospital in York PA



You might even say that Penn State is relatively friendly, in that we usually have one IMG amongst the Prelim PGY1 Surgical residents each year (but generally not categorical, but obviously there are exceptions. 😉 ).
