Soon, I am going to enter the 21st century by purchasing an MP3 player. My plan, as nerdy as it sounds, is to gather a lot of surgery audio books/mp3s to listen to in the car on the way to work. Currently, I'm listening to General Surgery Audio Digest CDs that I check out from my library and the SESAP audio companion that I borrowed from my PD. This is turning out to be a lot of CDs, and I think it would be smoother to have this type of stuff in mp3 format.

Does anyone know of a place where I could find mp3s of surgical topics? I am planning on downloading some critical care stuff from burndoc.net, and turning my SESAP CDs into mp3s, but that's as far as I've gotten. Of course, free mp3s are preferred.

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you have itunes, you can subscribe to the "ICU Rounds" podcast.

If you had the patience you could rip all of those cds on to your computer and throw them on your player. It might take some time though. I find it takes my computer about 5 minutes per cd with spoken word to rip and put on my computer.

Surgical Recall has an audiobook too
