OKAY, so I just got my acceptance letter from St.John Fisher College today in the mail. They only give you ten business days to reply with a $1500 deposit. But my top choices are Albany and UB. Fisher is my 3rd. I had my interview with Albany Feb 27th and I guess I wont hear from them for a couple weeks. My interview with UB isnt until March 28th. Its scary to say No to Fisher because what if I dont get accepted to Albany and UB? and $1500 is a lot...this sucks! Oh, today is March 8th but the letter is marked March 4th so is 10 business days from today or the date on the letter?? Any input would be very well appreciated! Thanks!

I graduated with a bachelors in biology with a minor in chemistry.

Yea I know how you feel. I was accepted into a school but I have another interview coming up. I think most likely I'll send it my deposit for the school. Luckily for me, it's only $500. Still alot of money but not quite $1500. In that case, I would realllllllllly have to consider which school I want to go to. I think most likely, for piece of mind, I would send in the $1500. Besides, isn't Albany on probation anyways 😉?

Why don't you call and ask them? Only they know what they need.

I went through the SAME exact thing just two weeks ago. In my case, I had to pay $2,000 and I'm not even sure if I am going to go there. However, if I get rejected from everywhere else I don't want to take a whole year off so I'll just go to that school. So my advice to you: you have no other choice but to pay it, you want to be safe by securing at least one seat at a pharmacy school.

Congrats on the acceptance dreamer!! I have to agree with the previous response: Secure your spot. It's just not worth it to take that chance of losing a spot this year. unfortunately, this is the worst thing to gamble with. You will have much more peace of mind if you just secure the spot.

$1500 is a lot. But nothing compared to what it is you are trying to achieve here. So, just close your eyes, and do it.

Congrats again. And best of luck with ACP.

when did you have your interview at st. john fisher? Did they call you to let you know you were accepted?

thanks...i think i will call albany friday and see where i stand...and if they dont know then i will send in the 1500. UGH so much money! it upsets me. but thanks all for the advice. i interviewed with st john fisher at the beginning of feburary and they just sent me my acceptance letter today in the mail...no email or call

$1500 is a lot of money. Perhaps calling them to see if there is some sort of payment plan. Like $750 this month (hell, anything less tan $1500) and then the balance next month. Buys you some time. Otherwise, $1500 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things.

I just got accepted into South University in Savannah and had to pay $750 by Saturday, March 8th (had 10 days from the acceptance). On Thursday of last week I was accepted into Ohio State. I am in a very confusing situation because I think my opportunities will be better at Ohio but I didn't have any time for my husband to research working in either city. Parting with so much money is so hard when I'm already broke from traveling to all these interviews! But who can decide in 2 days!
