?? It used to be free, now they want money?? I do not understand the problem.

I’m trying to get an idea of what other companies charge for a similar service. Nothing is free but I hate being taken advantage of. If I can establish that this is an outrageous fee, I MIGHT have a chance at negotiating especially if I choose to remain with the company and exit at a later date.

I'm curious what they give you for that money, a folder of pdfs?

It would be nice to have an option to access charts by one person over long term for cheap. Just file storage...

Argh, more annoying than anything. If you haven't already, you might check with your new EMR to see if they have a way to facilitate the transfer of records. They have all the incentive to make this easy for you. That way they can screw you later!

I would hesitate to go to another cloud based EHR because I don’t want to have to buy my data. I think that the best for me would be a client server based EHR on a hosted server at a data center that I contract with rather than hosting at the EHR company.
