Switching majors?

I need some advice on whether to switch to Honour Sci from my Biomed Sci program. Both programs have tons of electives but for Biomedical I have more upper year courses.

I don't really mind those courses since I can choose which ones I can take, except it's a requirement that I take embryology which is the gpa kiss of death at my university.

Would admissions of American universities notice that I switched degrees after second year? Also I'm Canadian, so basically anything under a 3.9 or 3.7 for a course makes me get panic attacks.

i dont think the dental schools will care? but i know nothing about how predents are like in canada.

during interviews they might ask why did you switch, but other than that i dont really see it as a problem.
