i just finished my first year at murdoch. can't say much about sydney, except i know they just opened a wildlife clinic that we covet here at murdoch.
what i like about murdoch is:
- i love perth. the climate was important for me, and it's a lot like
what i liked about southern california/arizona.
- the staff, throughout the university, are helpful to students. if
a problem arises with finances, personal life, etc, they seem willing
to work with you.
- outside a couple of crappy interactions, i've found most of the teaching
staff to be helpful and approachable.
i only applied to murdoch last year. since then, both sydney and
melbourne have also become accredited by the avma. i've worked
with vets from here and there, and they all seem equally good. likely,
any of the three will be a good choice. keep in mind it's what you
make of it. pick your specialty and lifestyle and go with it.
cheers!
I just received acceptance letters from University of Sydney and Murdoch University in Australia. Does anyone know specifics about the schools. I was wondering if one has a better reputation or is better in certain fields than the other. Also, Murdoch will allow the first semester to be skipped because I have taken the courses, but I have not seen anything like that on the Sydney website. Thank you.
