Hi guys,

I have had a lot of research experiences during my undergrad years. On the AMCAS, I listed all of my research activities with a two sentence explanation (that is pretty much all the space we had). I was wondering if it may be a good idea to send a more detailed synopsis of the research as well as any relevant abstracts, newspaper articles about the research, etc. Do you think this may help or will the admissions people get annoyed that I am repeating my AMCAS info.

Thank you very much. 🙂

I would call the individual schools and ask them if they allow you to send something like this. At one of my interviews, the director of admissions specifically told us not to send lengthy items like research papers. With something shorter like an abstract, it might be different, but I'm guessing an admissions committee with tons of applications to look at would probably not like extra paper. Call them and make sure it's okay.
