Whats the difference between seeing the organism via immunofluorescence, and the serological diagnosis with FTA-AB?

IF is less sensitive. I've never seen a question where FTA-ABS wasn't the correct answer for diagnosis.

right, but i mean in actually conducting the test. Isnt using fta-abs also immunoflourescence?
