Syringe problem

I have a problem and any advice would help. okay here it goes, while i was working today at a dental office i was preparing varies dental instruments for sterilization. I poked myself with a used syringe that contained lidocaine, should i worry or not? help plz!!!!!!!🙂
 
Have you checked medical history of the patient ?
Have you told any dental member in your office?

Contact the dentist you were working for and tell them what happened!!! NOWThat should have been the first thing you do. If you know which patient's instruments you were handling, this is important information which can save you months worth of worrying. The patient will be tested for Heb B/C and HIV and so will you, if they are clear there is not a whole lot to worry about. HIV infection via "needle stick" is very very improbably, but both hep B and C are very infectious. Hope all goes well for you.
