Systems vs Block Step 1 Prep

As we MS IIs are preparing for Step 1, does anyone have any input regarding preparation for the boards with respect to a block or systems based review? Specifically, what type of curriculum does your school have and are you going to review the material the same way or in the opposite manner? What is your rationale or if you've taken the boards already, how effective do you think your decision was and why?

That's a lot. But if you've got another sec... aside from First Aid or Step Up... what review books are "worth their weight"? I've heard High Yield Embryo and Behavioral Sciences and BRS Physio are worth it.
