could anyone please explain this question

if the anticodon on tRNA is 5"ACG3',then which of the following is it corresponding codon on mRNA??

1) 5'CGT3'
2)5"CGU3'
3)5'TGC3'
4)5'UAG3'
5)5'UGC3"

Ans is choice B, it sques 29 in pilot exam 2004,i dnt have explainations and i;ll apprecaite if somebdy can make me understand this./

thanks

hey, i made a mistake on this one also. did u pick 5?
anyways, well....first u know that ACG corresponds w/ UGC...so u look for that....
then u see that the corresponding codon runs antiparallel for 3' to 5'....so the only choice that is running 3' UGC 5' is choice B......they just mentioned it in reverse to confuse u

👍

As mRNA are always coded in 5'-3' direction onlyso the ans is 5' CGU 3'
