im taking my MCAT on July 22, and am just focusing on studying now. I plan on:
1.doing ALL content review in one month using the examkrakers series
2.doing practice tests for one full month (while taking a summer course)

good idea?

I think it's pretty doable. What I would worry about is the CARS. That section is not something you can increase rapidly. Meanwhile, I have seen many people studied for two months and have done well. That's up to you.

EK book set by consensus is a good resource. But you will be taking a summer course. Summer schedule is usually very compacted. I was having hard time studying for MCAT while taking winter intercession general bio course.

With that said, summer course and MCAT might not be a good idea. If you have some good pre req background, yeah it is very doable. If not, don't try or you will only discourage yourself

Not a great idea, but it is doable depending on how well you already know the material. I would recommend maybe 2 weeks of intense content review, and then passages for the remaining 6 weeks. I wouldn't take a summer class. MCAT studying is a summer class and then some all by itself. If you don't have a lot of time then focus solely on AAMC material. That's the best bang for your buck. First focus on:

1-section bank (hard, but gets you in the right mindset, plus it forces you to look into biochem and metabolism)
2-AAMC FL scored (wait until a month out then take this to see where you still need to focus)
3-AAMC Offical Guide questions
4-Sample FL
5-Question packs (these are great for general content review)

You have to know the amino acids forwards and backwards. After full length tests, take a day or 2 to go over the test. Do at least 3 CARS passages a day...timed. As you get better I would recommend creating test timing conditions as much as possible.

Good luck. It is totally doable, but you're gonna have to be in the right frame of mind. The MCAT is no joke...unfortunately.

if it makes any difference, the class is a retake that i took 2 years ago and have been reviewing the material since. thanks a lot for the advice

I think it depends. Can you spend around 6hrs+ a day? You should do that much prob. Also depends on your level of understanding on subjects before start studying. I heard successful MCAT takers spend around 300~400 hrs on average.
