Hi guyz..
I got my NBDE part 1 score today..
Comp 86
Anat 74 Biochem-physio 66
Micro path 80 DADH 90

Cant think of retaking though, new rules!!

GPA- 3.86
Toefl- 108

Just wanted to knw if its worth trying applying to schools for the international dentist programme?
Also kindly mention which schools can probably take up with these scores?

Hi,
Your stats are good. With decent CV and good personal statement you are good to go. You can apply to many school. Check out this link http://toptennation.blogspot.com/2008/02/top-10-easiest-us-dental-schools-to-get.html. I saw that in another thread.

With the new rule of not being able to retake the exam many more people will be having scores in mid 80's. I would stick with your score and try to improve other aspects of your application.

Hey toothfairy can you please tell us all, what aspects we need to improve? I mean some say on research while some say you can do some kind of obesrvership at private dentist or dental college in USA.

Please tell us which is worth doing? i mean research in dental, i would say most of here ppl wont be doing a master degree related with dental.So for getting into research assistanship in something related to dentistry will be tough to be in touch. Also observership , i just have a query that can we do it with any private dentist? or we need to do only at dental college? does it count if we do observership under private dentist for our resume?😕😕
