I'm taking ochem2 winter quarter and registered for a&p 2. I got a b+ and a- in these two courses in fall quarter so I know I can do well in them. However I don't have any shadowing experience yet nor any volunteering. I work full time so its a little hard to add volunteering and shadowing to the mix while taking these 2 courses. I was thinking of taking a&p2 next fall which would give me more time to volunteer, shadow, and prepare for the DAT. Do you think it would be okay to delay a&p2 until next year?

Certain schools require A&P for admission (not all schools.) so even if you didnt take it at all you can technically be fine. But to answer your question, schools dont care when you take a prereq as long as its Before you're admitted. I'm wrapping up 2 prereqs classes now and my offer letter stated that they must be completed before I matriculate. Thats all.

No worries for you. 🙂

Thanks. I guess I'm also wondering if schools might think I'm slacking by not taking the 2nd level after the first. I just don't think I can juggle both courses, work, shadowing, volunteering and prepping for the DAT .

Anyone else?

like I said above schools dont care what you take or when you take it. as long as its done before you matriculate.
I took Physics 1 and 2 about a year apart and no one cares. Grades matter more than timing.
