Take an additional gap year?

Hi! I just wanted to get some advice. I was planning to apply to this coming cycle with around a 3.3/3.4 sGPA and cGPA after retaking Biochemistry in early summer semester. However, I am unsure if the class I want to retake will still have opening when I register, so I may be unable to retake it by summer.

If I have to retake in the fall, should I still apply this cycle and send updates when I finish the class in the fall. Or should I wait until the next cycle to apply?

What is your gpa without the retake? What is your MCAT? Which schools are you applying too? Basically we need more information.

My gpa without retake would be around 3.2/3.3ish. I have yet to take the MCAT. My top choice is MSUCOM. Other schools I'm interested in are CCOM, DMUCOM, MWUCOM, and NYITCOM.

Azcom: 3.51/3.44/30
Dmu: 3.65/3.61/28.8
Msu: 3.64/28
Nyit: 3.6/28

You are interested in a lot of the top schools. If you kill the mcat you have a shot (506+). I would apply as early as possible then update my app when your summer grades come in.

If you have to wait until fall for that class, then I would wait to apply unless you add schools like dcom, kycom, wvsom etc.

Okay, thanks for all the advice! It seems unlikely that I might get in for the summer class right now, so I will probably take an additional gap year.
