Hi. I will be taking two quarters of calculus winter quarter and spring quarter. If I wait to take calc based physics (part of my major) until the next academic year (2008-2009 instead of 2007-2008)...is that going to be a problem?

As opposed to taking calc based physics before calc? Because I would certainly not recommend that.
They key being (as said above) to take physics prior to taking the MCAT

doesn't really matter, in my opinion you can't learn calculus properly without taking it without physics.

I agree. Physics and calculus go together like...oh, heck Bonnie and Clyde, peas and carrots,...pick your cliche. Calculus deals with the math of motion which is heavily drawn upon in both Physics I and II.

Rarely will you need integral calculus for physics I, but you will definately use it second semester. Electromagnetism and Electric Fields all rely heavily on integral calculus.
